Warren Augusta
Ministry Residency
Our goal is to walk with men and women who are exploring a call to ministry. A person who goes through our program will learn how to lead themselves and to lead others. We are committed to discipling young leaders and fostering their growth in knowledge, character, vision, and skills.

About Our Ministry Residency
Every resident is immersed in ministry opportunities that align with their personal passion. This is a 12 month, 29 hour-per-week program which combines focused training, hands-on experience, and intentional mentorship to help participants grow in their leadership ability and clarify their calling. It is our desire to see competent and compassionate leaders be developed for the sake of carrying out God's mission.
Head
Our residents will attend monthly training sessions that will cover several meaningful and practical ministry and spiritual growth topics.
Heart
The development of a ministry leader does not stop at the practical experiences of ministry. Character is one of the most important pieces.
Hands
Residents will be placed in live ministry settings to take all the Head and Heart knowledge and put it into daily practice.
Our residency program is recommended for recent high school or college graduates who are exploring a call to ministry. This person should exhibit personal maturity, clarity of calling, evidence of gifting, willingness to serve, and have availability for a one-year program.
Ministry Residency is a 12-month period from August-July.
Each Ministry Resident is partnered with a Ministry Lead and a Ministry Mentor. Ministry Leads will be your direct supervisor who will help guide and daily lead you in your area of ministry. Ministry Mentors will meet with you periodically throughout each month to guide and encourage you in areas such as character, service, love, and spiritual growth.
Warren is a multi-site church with campuses in Augusta and Grovetown, GA and Belvedere, SC. You will be serving primarily at one campus but will have frequent opportunity to interact and serve at all campuses.
Our Residency spans over a broad range of ministry areas including Next Generation (Kids, Middle School, High School, College), Family, Worship and Communications, Adult Discipleship, and Connections. Our goal is that you would be placed into the ministry that aligns with your passions and giftings.
No, housing and transportation are not included.
A few examples of study materials have been "Live No Lies" by John Mark Comer, "Red Sea Rules" by Robert Morgan, "Deep Discipleship" by J.T. English, and "The Conviction to Lead" by Al Mohler. Each month, residents study one of the "Principles of Ministry," which is a study guide adapted from "Making Sense of the Ministry" by Warren and David Wiersbe.
Warren Ministry Residents will receive all books and resources needed for our monthly leadership training times as well as curriculum used with their ministry mentor. Residents are also considered temporary part-time employees of Warren in which a salary will be given based on previous experience and education.
