28 Days to Pray: Day 18

Read Psalm 69:29-30: But I am afflicted and in pain; let your salvation, O God, set me on high! I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving.

As you pray today, sing a song of praise and thanksgiving to God to focus your attention on Him.

And now Lord, I offer You praise and declare that the joy of the Lord is my strength. You surround me in my trouble for You are a sure foundation and a strong deliverer. All blessing and honor, glory, and power are unto You, Jesus.

There are rare and wonderful species of joy that flourish only in the rainy atmosphere of suffering. – John Piper
