Ministries at Warren Hillcrest

Sunday School
- Sunday mornings, 9:45 a.m.
- There are classes for everyone; including youth, senior adults, children, young adults.
- If you need help finding a class, ask any of our members or visit our Welcome Desk right outside the choir room down the hall from the church office.
Children's Ministry
- Sunday School every Sunday at 9:45 a.m.
- Children's Church every Sunday during the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service, in the A Building behind the Sanctuary, 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
- A nursery is provided for young children aged 0-2 (or until they are potty-trained).
- Registration is required for Children's Church.
Students
- HBC Students.

Men
- Men's Prayer Group, every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.

Women
- Women's Prayer Group, each Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.

Young at Heart
- Ministry to senior adults.
- Our Senior adult ministry is vibrant at Hillcrest Baptist Church. We have Sunday School classes and Prayer Groups for senior adults.
- We invite you to come and meet new people for fun and fellowship.
Music
- Our Praise Choir meets weekly for rehearsals on Wednesday evenings. No audition is required to participate.
- We sing in our morning worship services, and we present special music programs during the Easter and Christmas seasons.
- Come join us as we "make a joyful noise unto the Lord!"
Woman's Missionary Union
- Serving the community and the world.
- The group participates in taking food to the burn unit at Doctor's Hospital once a month.
- Our church participates each year in Operation Christmas Child, sponsored by Samaritan's Purse, and in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

Food Pantry
- Hillcrest Baptist Food Pantry, 2457 Ridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
- Open Mondays 10:00 to 11:45 a.m.
- Food assistance is available for anyone in the 30906 or 30815 zip code area. Clients must meet an income requirement as well as show proof of address, social security card and a picture ID.
- Donations of canned foods and personal hygiene items, as well as diapers are always needed. Volunteers are also welcome. Please call the church office at 706-793-3104 for more details.

Who you’ll meet

Rev. Tony Christie

Pastor

Pastor Tony joined our staff on April 16, 2023. He is a former pastor at Woodlawn Baptist Church in the Augusta area and came to Hillcrest from a church in Oklahoma where he served as Associate Pastor. Pastor Tony is graduate of Shorter University and Luther Rice Seminary. He and his wife, Lesha, have three children and four grandchildren.

Joy Scott

Worship Leader

Joy is our Worship Leader at Hillcrest. She graduated from Cameron University in Oklahoma as a Theatre Performance Major. Joy and her husband, Adam, reside in North Augusta and are members at Hillcrest.

David Keel

Financial Assistant

David has been overseeing the finances of Hillcrest and the school for many years. Previously he served as the CFO and COO of the National Science Center.

Join us this Sunday

Sunday School Classes meet every Sunday at 9:45 a.m.

Sunday Morning Worship Services continue in the Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m.

Nurseries and Childcare are provided during all regularly scheduled Worship services.

A typical service will last about 60 minutes. We sing traditional music and contemporary choruses that is led by our choir. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.

Wednesday evenings

Our Wednesday Evening Prayer and Praise Service meets at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Praise Choir Rehearsal meets at 6:45 p.m. immediately following the Prayer and Praise Service.
