Prayer

When the devil attacks we must have a plan–a way to fight the battle in prayer–so that we can stand firm and find victory. Below is a way to RESPOND defensively in the midst of a spiritual warfare.

•“Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

•Every time Jesus was tempted by the devil, He raised His shield of faith and strategically cut down Satan with the sword of the Spirit by quoting the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:16)

•Times of testing should become catalysts for cleansing. (James 4:8)

•Rest in His forgiveness by faith. (1 John 1:7-9).

•Ask Jesus to take back full control of your heart, soul, and mind. (2 Corinthians 10:5)

•Take the focus off of yourself and begin praying for others. Experience peace through prayer. (Philippians 4:6-7)

If you will learn to do this, the devil will tempt you less and less when he realized his attacks only remind you more to call on Jesus, quote Scripture, repent, pray, and praise.
