Our Advocate in Prayer

Have you ever been in a pickle where you've done something wrong and you feel really bad and you really wish you knew who you could talk to to maybe fix everything? Oftentimes I think back to like high school or something, maybe a speeding ticket, college, however old you may be, and you think, who do I know that could help what get me out of this? Well, one of the things I've been thinking in regards to praying and remembering who scripture says that Jesus is, is because he is God's son, we know all that he has afforded us through his life, death, burial, and resurrection in our salvation. But scripture also talks about how he continues to advocate for us, continues to intercede for us. He lives for that reason and is at the right hand of God interceding for us. And so that we can remember today that when something happens, it's about who you know. And who we know is the author, the perfecter, the finisher, and the continued advocate and one who intercedes for us every day. And therefore, we can approach the throne with confidence.
