Prayer—A Capstone to Your Day
Susan Cady · June 3, 2024
Hey again, brothers and sisters of heaven, I can't wait to share this prayer thought with you here and now. Just recently, I watched a discipleship video, and it's even challenged my own heart and mind, and I hope and pray that this story will yours as well. I heard about two college students, two guys, Christ-following guys that lived in the same dorm. They had this idea to, so to say, put a capstone on the end of the day, and the way they did that was to pray with each other each night. So the first college student prayed. He said this long prayer, used these big words, and prayed for a few minutes. Then the second one just said a simple prayer, something like this, God, I love you. I thank you for this day. I cannot wait to be with you tomorrow. Amen. First one, look at the second one, and he said, hey, man, if you don't want to do this, we don't have to. If you don't want to take this that seriously, we don't have to. The second one said, no, no, no, I want to do this. He said, I've just been praying and talking to God all day, but I just had a few last things I wanted to say. I pray that you'll enjoy a prayer life like that. Talk to God. He's worth it.
