Praying the Lord’s Prayer

Hi, today's prayer tip is pray the Lord's Prayer earliest in the morning as soon as you wake up. The Lord's Prayer every day? Well, why? Why would we do that? Well, first, praying the Lord's Prayer puts your focus on the Lord and His agenda before anything else. This centers you as a believer on the most important things. The second, you'll find as you pray through the Lord's Prayer that the Holy Spirit will bring to mind topics and issues and practical outworkings that need your attention. Think about it. When you pray, your kingdom come, you can't help but rhetorically question yourself. Well, what is my part in his kingdom come, his kingdom realized on earth for today, for next week, for my entire life? And of course, how about forgive us our sins? Well, that should be pretty obvious how that impacts our life as we pray that. Thirdly, sometimes when you're going through a dry season or such a hard season that prayer feels like a waste of time or ineffectual, the sheer discipline of what may feel like a pretty rote prayer can actually be used of the Lord to help us to endure, to persevere in prayer. Choose the discipline of starting your day with the Lord's Prayer. And finally, the Lord's Prayer is so easy to memorize that kids and adults for centuries have nailed it with relative ease. So the Lord's Prayer, a marked trail on a believer's journey through times of plenty and times of need. A sure thing, any time.
