Woman to Woman Mentoring
Woman to Woman Mentoring is intended to help women deepen their daily walk with God by investing in one another through intentional relationships. God created us for relationship with Him and one another, but sin and the brokenness it causes impacts our relationship with God and with one another
• We have trouble connecting with others at times.
• We fall into the comparison trap, esp. with other women.
• We don’t feel as if we are good enough or doing enough.
• We seek acceptance and approval from others.
• We find ourselves on the performance wheel always striving to be
better, to be enough.
These insecurities often lead us away from one another instead of
drawing us close. But we were created for relationship - with God and
with one another. We need one another! We need others who will remind us of who we are in Christ Jesus and continually point us to Him.
Having the wisdom and experience of an older woman pour into our
lives is invaluable. We all need someone to come alongside us and help
us navigate the seasons of life and grow in our relationship with Jesus.
It’s biblical. As the body of Christ, we are called to encourage one
another and learn from one another. Titus 2:3-5 calls older women to
teach the younger. And older can certainly be in age/season of life, but
not necessarily. It’s simply a woman who has gone before us and reflects
Jesus.
Our prayer is that Woman to Women Mentoring will help build deeper community and deeper engagement in God’s Word for every woman.
We believe mentoring should be built on the foundation of God’s Word.
We need a balance of being in God’s Word together and spending time
together relationally. When mentoring is solely focused on learning God’s Word it becomes academic, and when it is solely focused on the relational aspect it becomes anemic. We need the balance of the two.
Complete the application for the opportunity to be prayerfully matched with a mentor. Women will be prayerfully matched and able to meet at the training in the evening of September 10. Each pair is encouraged to make weekly contact and meet in person monthly. Email women@warren.church with additional questions.
