“Who's the master of your treasure? And then Joe, last week, Pastor Joseph, he talked about the heart issue of greed. And he talked about the story of Joshua. And I thought it was really good. And so I kind of come on the heels of it. And today we're going to talk about generosity, generosity. And so before I get started, I just want to make a disclaimer. God doesn't need your money. He don't need your money. Okay, so I'm not after your money. I really don't want to talk so much about your money.”

“And the reason both of these kinds of greeds fit in with a message on money is because money becomes the vehicle by which we obtain, preserve, insulate, and defend that for which we are most greedy. Money betrays our hearts. And so, if you follow the money, you can typically find the greed.”

“And some of you need to experience the healing power of Jesus, the miracle power of Jesus in breaking the chains of greed and changing your heart through grace into gratitude. Now, let me just say this again. I need to say it over and over. God does not need your money. He doesn't need your money. This isn't because God is needy and he needs your money. God does not need your money, but God wants your heart.”

And some of the most heated discussions and repeated debates and divisions that go on in our homes and families and businesses and churches all just have to do with the love of money. And the issue in all financial conflict is not the presence or the absence of money,”

“God can have your money without your heart. People give to all kinds of things without their heart. People give to relief organizations, but the Red Cross doesn't care whether or not your heart's with them. They just want you to give and help in a time of need. All kinds of political candidates and political parties are constantly vying for your money, And they don't give one rip whether you really agree or believe. They just want your money. All kinds of people are willing to give a little here and a little there to a GoFundMe account.”
