Sanctity of Life

“Today is Sanctity of Life Sunday, and I'm so grateful to be a part of a church that continues to prioritize and fight for the lives of the unborn. At Warren, we believe in declaring and defending the sanctity of life, and I want to echo and affirm the words from our senior pastor, Dr. David McKinley. He says this, and it's so very important as the foundation of this belief. He says the phrase sanctity of life comes from the Latin word sanctus,”

“Sanctity of Life Sunday was established when 11 years after that Supreme Court action, President Ronald Reagan in January of 1984 spoke of the need to have a day to commemorate and to remember and to call our nation to become protectors and defenders of life. And he said this, We cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live”

“They stand on the truth of the sanctity of life, guarding life, fighting for life, and fighting for those who are not able to fight for themselves, those who are in the womb. But in that standing on truth, they are extending mercy. They're extending mercy to whoever is in the womb. But also, they also extend mercy. And we're celebrating life today and choices for life, but not only that, we have put hundreds of thousands of dollars poured into a Hope Women's Center to not just talk about fighting for life at once every 52 weeks, but to day by day have a center that's ministering to women and helping them not choose death but choose life because we believe that every life matters”
